EastEnders star Shona McGarty posted a cute Valentine’s Day tribute to her boyfriend.

The actress, best known for playing Whitney Dean in the BBC One soap, is currently dating musician David Bracken, who is from the band Blessed.

In her latest Instagram post, the soap star and her beau enjoyed a super romantic date night where Shona stunned in a red dress.

She penned: ‘What an absolutely beautiful evening… with my world, partner in crime, my everything… @davidirishband ❤️’

In her Instagram Story she shared a montage of clips and captioned the post: ‘My valentine… You’ve changed my life.’

Prior to Shona’s relationship with David, she was seeing co-star Max Bowden, who plays Ben Mitchell.

Over on EastEnders, Metro recently obtained pictures of the showdown that ensues with an arrest set to be made amid the heated scenes, but a further update confirms that pregnant Whitney’s life will be left hanging in the balance.

Pictures of a night shoot see Shona, as Whitney, running through the streets chasing a young girl, whose identity is currently unknown.

The young woman soon finds herself in danger, with Whitney coming to her rescue and pushing her out of the way of a speeding car, which subsequently knocks her down.

Zack Hudson (James Farrar), Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer) and Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) are nearby, as confirmed in the images obtained by Stranews99

The question is: will Whitney and her unborn child survive the devastating collision? Or will this serve as the character’s exit?

Speaking about her departure from the BBC soap, Shona told The Sun last year: ‘I have decided to spread my wings and will be leaving EastEnders.

‘I have loved my years in the show.’

She added that she has many fond memories of her time on the programme: ‘I have been trusted with some incredible storylines and have made amazing friendships — and family — which will endure.’
