EastEnders spoilers: Johnny Carter destroyed over devastating death – and we don’t mean Keanu Taylor

Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) was left destroyed in recent EastEnders scenes as he reflected on the death of his dad, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer).

Mick went missing at sea on Christmas Day 2022, and has since been presumed dead, despite his body never being found.

In tonight’s (February 19) episode, Johnny reflected on why he had not come home to Albert Square following Mick’s disappearance, having moved to Manchester to start a new life in 2018.

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) comforted him as he admitted that he should have come home sooner, revealing that siblings Lee and Nancy had asked him to come back.

However, he explained that he didn’t want to come back to the Queen Vic without his dad there.

As he spoke to Linda, it was clear that he regretted his decision to stay away for so long, reflecting on how Mick had always been there for him, and how he felt as though he had let his dad down by not coming home to look after Linda.

Following their conversation, Linda asked Johnny if he blamed her for Mick and Janine Butcher’s relationship.

He assured her that he didn’t, and apologised for making his disappearance ‘all about him’.

As Linda revealed how much she missed Mick, and how often she wondered if she could have put a stop to things between him and Janine sooner, Johnny admonished himself for not being there for her.

BBC EastEnders fans ‘rumble’ who has Keanu’s murder weapon – and it’s ‘not Dean’

EastEnders viewers have ‘worked out’ who has stolen the weapon used to kill Keanu Taylor from The Queen Vic, after a shocking discovery in the latest episode.

Linda Carter and four other members of The Six were left reeling during Monday’s edition of the BBC soap, as their killer crime looked set to be exposed. Not only did another Walford resident find out about the true events of Christmas Day, but the murder weapon was confirmed to have gone missing.

Viewers know that on Christmas Day, Linda stabbed and killed Keanu as she tried to stop him from strangling Sharon Watts. As Keanu died, Linda, Sharon, Denise Fox, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale and Suki Panesar made a pact to cover up their crime, and dispose of the body.

Keanu’s corpse is hidden under the floor of the café, with him presumed to be on the run after attacking Nish Panesar. Of course viewers know it was Denise that attacked Nish to protect his wife Suki, and now she, Sharon and Linda are struggling to cope with the eve

A spanner was thrown into the works on Monday, after Linda’s confession about the crime to son Johnny Carter last week. On Monday, The Six minus Sharon found out Johnny knew their deadly secret, and he planned to do whatever was needed to keep his mum out of prison.

They berated Linda for letting slip their secret after their pact, but there was a bigger issue heading their way amid Denise falling apart and them trying to help her. Johnny had found out that Linda still had the murder weapon, with her hiding the meat thermometer under her bed.

Johnny vowed to get rid of it to make sure no clues led back to Linda, and as he gathered the women at the pub he dropped a bombshell. As the episode came to an end, he revealed that after searching Linda’s bedroom he could not find the weapon.

He told them that someone had taken it as it was no longer where Linda had left it, and he’d searched the entire room. Declaring only the women in the room and Sharon knew its whereabouts, he questioned who had stolen it.

Now, fans think they know who it is after speculation Linda’s rapist Dean Wicks might have taken it, after he was seen hanging around The Vic moments before the murder. With him sneaking out the door, fans now think Dean stuck around and saw the murder, or maybe found out about it later.

But not everyone believes this theory, and now some viewers think it’s someone else who has the weapon. Some questioned if Johnny was hiding the weapon to cause drama, while others believed Nish might have it after his threats to expose what happened on Christmas Day.

Taking to X, one fan posted: “Maybe the weapon was there, johnny is lying? Don’t know why yet…” as another said: “Istg if johnny throws anyone under the bus its over for him.” A third added: “I think Nish has the murder weapon,” while a fourth wrote: “Plot twist I think dean would have been prime suspect but it’s Nish?!”
