EastEnders has hinted at a change for Ben Mitchell ahead of the character’s exit this spring.
Last month, it was announced that Max Bowden is set to leave the soap after nearly five years in the role of Ben.
While his exit storyline is yet to be confirmed, it’s now been revealed that Ben’s father Phil will buy the Arches from him.
In scenes airing next week, Kat starts to worry about Raymond due to his mother Denise’s deteriorating health, but Phil shuts down her concerns and tells her that his solicitor has started their divorce proceedings.
When Kat overhears that Phil is buying the Arches from Ben, she starts to suspect he isn’t being honest in the divorce as the business wasn’t listed on his solicitors letter.
Later, Nish seizes the opportunity to get his hands on some of the Mitchell fortune by introducing Kat to dodgy divorce lawyer Roger Peel.

Elsewhere in Walford, Denise Fox is continuing to suffer from a breakdown following Keanu Taylor’s death. Denise’s mental health has been deteriorating ever since her involvement in the Christmas murder, and she’s been having hallucinations of Keanu.
Last night’s (February 21) episode saw Denise flee the square after she confessed to her imprisoned ex-husband Lucas that she killed Keanu, saying she “buried him” and “put him in the ground”.
What will Lucas do with this information, and will Denise be found?
