EastEnders fans may be forced to say goodbye to one character for good after they were framed for heinous crime in a shocking twist as Nish Panesar took revenge on The Six
EastEnders fans are in for a shock as one character’s exit after 20 years on the show seems to be set in stone.
Tuesday’s episode, which will air on Thursday on iPlayer, was packed with drama. Loyal fans of the BBC soap will recall over the festive season, The Six – Denise Fox, Stacey Slater, Suki Panesar, Linda Carter, Sharon Watts and Kathy Beale – teamed up to hide a murder.
During the latest episode, Suki’s abusive husband Nish Panesar tried to stop her from leaving him for her new love, Eve Unwin. When he got physical, The Six stepped in and Denise hit him on the head with a Champagne bottle.
At first, the group thought had died from the blow, but he soon revived. During the dramatic scenes, Sharon’s heartbroken groom Keanu turned up and tried to take her son, Albie. It didn’t take long before he started to hurt Sharon, which pushed Linda to take action.
She immediately stabbed him, which forced The Six to keep the murder a secret by hiding Keanu’s body in an abandoned café after the fire. The alibi the group came up with was that Keanu attacked Nish before he went on the run.
On Tuesday’s BBC iPlayer episode (February 27), which will be shown on Thursday (February 29) because of the FA Cup, Kat Slater kept messing with Nish, who didn’t know she knew all about his plans to steal her and her ex-husband Phil Mitchell’s money. At the same time, Suki tried to warn Kat that Nish was dangerous and she should stay away from him, but Kat didn’t listen to her.
Later on in the episode, Kat had a secret meeting with dodgy divorce lawyer Roger Peel, who works for Nish. The barmaid deliberately flirted with him in front of the CCTV camera to catch them in the act. After recovering the incriminating footage, Kat and Suki tried to blackmail Roger for info on Nish.
But they didn’t know that Priya was secretly listening and she told Nish everything. In the gripping scenes later in the episode, Kat stormed over to No 41 to confront Nish but it quickly became clear that Nish knew about Kat’s plan.
He sneakily locked the door and poured her a glass of wine as the two characters had an awkward chat. During their discussion, Kat got a worrying call from Suki telling her that Nish was onto them. Kat then had to fight off Nish and managed to get away.
She ran to Stacey, Eve and Suki, who all helped protect her from him. It was at this point the four of them came together to warn Nish to stay away.
Kat and Stacey shouted insults at him, which left Nish feeling embarrassed as he went back inside. In revenge, Nish decided to call DC Whisson about what happened at Christmas where he lied and said Stacey attacked him.
Could this mean Stacey might be arrested and have to leave Albert Square? Viewers will have to stay tuned to find out.
