Danielle Harold has shut down rumours she dated fellow EastEnders star Bobby Brazier.
The actress, 31, played Lola Pearce on the soap until last year, when her character died from a brain tumour.
The storyline and performance earnt her a National Television Award in 2023, however at the ceremony she was also spotted looking cosy with co-star Bobby, 20, who plays Freddie Slater.
At the time the pair were snapped staring into each other’s eyes, whilst also holding hands after leaving the event.
However, she’s now poured cold water over claims they were dating at all, despite the photos even leading her nan to believe Bobby was her ‘new man’.
The actress has joked that she felt sorry for ‘poor Bobby’ about the rumours.
‘He must think, “Oh look, I’m getting attached to this old bird”. I’m like, “Sorry Bobby, it keeps me looking young, so…” Bless him, he was just being the biggest gent that night (the pictures were taken) because I could not walk in my shoes at all. We were at the NTAs. And our car left us, like, all the way around the back,’ she said during an appearance on the Invite Only podcast.
After being worried she couldn’t walk to the car, Bobby provided some support and held her hand as they made their way to the vehicle.
‘He was just being a gent and now he gets named as my boyfriend every two minutes. Bless him. You just laugh, and go that’s just how it is,’ she added.
Danielle then explained how her nan also got confused.
‘She said, “That was a lovely picture of you and your new boyfriend”. I was like, “No nan, I’m not going out with Bobby”.
Last year Danielle also spoke about rumours she was romantically linked to fellow I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! co-star Pete Wicks, 35.
Speaking on Loose Women, she told the panel the pair had been ‘laughing so much’ over claims they were dating.
Instead, she said they were ‘just good friends’ and had been so for years.
Meanwhile Bobby has since been linked to fellow Strictly star Ellie Leach, 22.
