Jessica will star in Netflix’s Missing You, which is an adaptation of Fool Me Once’s Harlan Coben’s novel of the same name.

The new five-part series will follow the story of a woman who THOUGHT her fiance went missing 11 years ago…

The show’s synopsis reads: “Eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she’s never heard from him since.

“Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again.

“Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.”

The star-studded cast also includes Rosalind Eleazar, Richard Armitage, Steve Pemberton, Paul Kaye, Samantha Spiro, Lisa Faulkner and Mary Malone.

Filming is currently happening in Manchester and the surrounding areas.

It is believed that the show will air at the end of the year or the start of 2025.

Speaking about her new role, Jessica told What To Watch: “So we follow Kat Donovan, who is a police officer and there’s two stories in one.

“It’s a classic thriller in the sense of it’s someone with secrets.

“I got back this morning at 3am from a night shoot, but it’s great, it’s really lovely. I love Manchester and the North West.

“We’ve covered a lot of ground, we’ve done quite a lot of locations, we’ve been to Sefton Park!

“On the first day in four degrees wearing crop tops and doing a yoga class.

“I feel like visually this is going to be similar to what he’s already done – very beautiful to watch.”

Since leaving EastEnders, Jessica has appeared in a number of TV shows such as The Girl Before, The After and The Decameron.

She also took part in I’m A Celeb the year that she left Walford.

The star took part in the show alongside AJ Pritchard, Mo Farah and Jordan North.

Jessica was the sixth to be eliminated from the show and Giovanna Fletcher was crowned queen of the jungle.
