EastEnders spoilers: Linda Carter’s surprising move over rapist Dean Wicks’ unbelievable demand

Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) has been struggling a lot since the return of Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) in EastEnders, but in upcoming scenes she makes a surprising move.

Dean left Linda terrified when he cornered her in her kitchen last Halloween and explained that he was moving back to Albert Square, and has continued to make her life hell ever since.

He has even gone so far as to blackmail her into making a false confession that she had lied about him raping her, before playing a recording of the false confession in the middle of the busy Queen Vic.

It goes without saying that Dean is barred from the pub, but that doesn’t stop him from trying his luck in upcoming scenes.

Dean’s reason for returning to the Square was his daughter, Jade Masood (Elizabeth Green), who was in need of a lung transplant.

Following the transplant, Jade decided to host a charity auction, and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) has since been helping her to organise it.

With only the venue still left to arrange, Jean takes a chance and asks Linda if they can use the pub, and is left shocked when Linda surprisingly agrees, under the condition that Dean is not allowed to come.

However, when Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff) later taunts Dean about being banned from the fundraiser, Dean grows even more determined to find a way in.

After manipulating Jean and Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman), he manages to get in, and Jade begs Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) to let him stay long enough to watch her speech.

When Linda spots him, she is horrified, and rushes upstairs, flanked closely by Jean.

Linda emotionally makes Jean see that Dean has been playing her, before Jean heads downstairs to confront him and order him out.
