Horrendous Confession: EastEnders’ Kathy Beale confesses murder to arch enemy Cindy in killer mistake?

EastEnders has dropped a huge hint in recent scenes that Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) may be set to spill The Six’s huge murder secret to none other than arch enemy Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).

Cindy and Kathy have had an on-going feud since the 1990s, and until very recently it showed no signs of letting up.

However, recent scenes showed Cindy extending an olive branch to Kathy, so could their relationship be starting to thaw?

Kathy has been struggling in recent weeks with a number of difficult situations, from Keanu Taylor’s grisly murder to Ben Mitchell’s sudden arrest.

In a bid to cover up Keanu’s murder and protect killer Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Kathy was forced to shop husband Rocky Cotton to the police for setting fire to her cafe, after he began asking difficult questions.

With the cafe floor having collapsed and The Six looking close to being caught out, Kathy was suddenly struck with sadness at everything she’d sacrificed, and Cindy caught her crying over her wedding photos.

Instead of making a snarky comment as one would expect from Cindy, she actually told Kathy that if she wanted to talk, she’d be there to listen.

‘If you ever want to talk about Rocky or Ben, or… Or anything…’ Cindy said, leaving us wondering if she had perhaps managed to catch on to the fact that there was something more bothering Kathy.

Kathy and Cindy have a lot in common – more than they’d probably care to admit – so it wouldn’t be completely out of the realm of possibility for them to start confiding in each other.

They’re both living under the same roof and both know what it’s like to make huge sacrifices and spend years away from their families in order to protect them.

Though Kathy declined Cindy’s offer and insisted she was fine, could she be set to open up in the future?

Could an unexpected friendship be set to form between Cindy and Kathy?
