George Knight’s mysterious son will get mentioned next week as the Albert Square resident struggles with a string of family events on EastEnders

George Knight’s mysterious son will be introduced on EastEnders next week.

Things have been tough for George (Colin Salmon) recently, after he found out his father Eddie Knight was responsible for his dad’s death. His dad is up in court this week, whilst he has banished his mum from contacting him after learning of her support of Eddie.

Next week on the BBC soap, George is forced to make a difficult phone call when he tells his estranged son Junior about the family news, but when he calls, he gets his voicemail. Eddie calls George and asks him to meet so they can discuss Gloria.

During a terrifying and vicious showdown, Eddie and George say how they really feel, which pushes George deeper into despair. George decides to go to the underground boxing club to blow off steam, but he is stopped by a concerned Phil.

Phil begs George not to fight, but he doesn’t listen and ends up getting knocked out. The next day, George wakes up on Phil’s sofa and is showing the bruises from the fight the night before. Elaine, Anna and Gina are left horrified when he returns back to the Queen Vic, and George lies as says his bruises were as a result of thugs jumping on him.

He tries to make some headway against Eddie but something happens which makes him struggle again. Elaine decides not to do anything when George fumes and storms off, but Cindy is worried and tells Phil in no uncertain terms that she needs to know where he is. Phil and Cindy find the bouncers refusing George entry at the boxing club and Cindy takes George to the Boxing Den to talk.

Molly Rainford – who plays Anna Knight – recently teased the arrival of her sibling, George’s son.

Asked if she’d like to see her sibling arrive one day, she said: “Yes absolutely, I’d love that. I mean what EastEnders family doesn’t have secret siblings? I feel like there’s siblings from both sides and people we haven’t met yet too, so I’d be really excited if he or any of them came into the show,” and about a potential return for Cindy Jr, she added: “Yeah I’d love for her to return, absolutely. I feel like she must be around Anna and Gina’s age too so that would be good!”
