Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) and George Knight (Colin Salmon) both have a tough week ahead in EastEnders, but as they find comfort in each other, could they be set to take things too far?

George is still reeling from the events of the previous week, and realises that he must inform estranged son George Junior of the family news, though he can only get as far as his voicemail.

Dad Eddie is (Christopher Fairbank) is also keen to talk, though a vicious showdown ensues where the pair exchange wounding words, which leave George in despair.

In turmoil, George heads to the underground boxing ring, but is stopped by Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), who begs him not to fight. Unfortunately, George doesn’t listen, and ends up being knocked out in the ring.

The next day, George wakes up on Phil’s sofa before heading home, battered and bruised. His family are horrified to see the state of him, but he lies and tells them that he was jumped by thugs.

Later, when George tries to make some headway against Eddie, he suffers another knockback and is sent spiralling once more, but when he storms out Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) decides not to intervene.

Ex-wife Cindy, on the other hand, is deeply worried for his welfare, and pays Phil a visit in the hopes he can help her find George.

When Phil and Cindy arrive at the boxing club, they find George outside, with the bouncers refusing him entry.

Determined to help him, Cindy takes George back to the Boxing Den so that they can talk.

The next day, Cindy joins the rest of the Beales to remember Lucy on the tenth anniversary of her death, but she soon finds herself struggling when she misremembers things, and realises just how much of her daughter’s life she missed out on.

Upset, Cindy slips away to find George at the Boxing Den…

With the pair battling their individual traumas and spending more and more time together, could they be set to cheat on their respective partners as they get closer to one another?
