WHITNEY Dean will be left dealing with an unexpected crisis on EastEnders concerning foster daughter Britney.
A trip to the hospital will have dire consequences for the youngster that leaves Whitney in turmoil.
The pregnant foster mum has been helping to care for Britney but recently things have started to take a turn for the young girl.
Worried for her health, Whitney and Zack opt to take her to the hospital where they are dealt saddening news.
Britney Wainwright is told that she has Type 2 Usher Syndrome and the doctor confirms that this condition will lead to sight and hearing impairments and potentially the total loss of hearing and vision.
Whitney is left floored and does her best to learn about the condition the next day.
Zack worries that the added stress will be affecting Whitney whilst she is pregnant.
Fans of EastEnders remember how Whitney has been lying about the formalities regarding Britney’s fostering.
While everyone on the square believes that Whitney formally fostered Britney, this is not the case.
Next week, as Zack suggests taking and enrolling Britney in the local GP, Whitney lies and insists that she has already done it in a bid to stop Zack from discovering the truth when it comes to formalities.
In a bid to conceal the secret further, Whitney tries to persuade Sonia to bypass the checks required to register Britney on the NHS system.
Unable to do so, she is forced to call in Britney’s mother Keeley in order to get her registered.

Whitney later misses a baby scan when Britney’s school call to tell her that her hearing aids weren’t working which leads to an at-home clash with Zack.
Later on, Lauren, the only other person aware of the deceit, insists that she needs to tell Zack all before the lies spiral out of control.
She issues up an ultimatum whereby if Whitney does not tell him then she will.
Things continue to spiral out of control when Britney has a run-in with some evil bullies on the way to school.
Whitney later tracks down the bully herself and intervenes but it totally backfired when Britney is later teased for her foster mum’s meddling.
