Jade Masood (Elizabeth green) was completely gobsmacked when Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) was arrested for the murder of Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) in recent EastEnders scenes – though not as shocked as he was when he was subsequently charged with the crime.

Viewers will know that it was actually Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) who stabbed Keanu to death on Christmas Day, and the rest of The Six helped her to cover it up.

Unfortunately, things went awry when his body was discovered after the cafe floor collapsed, and Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) was promptly arrested.

In a bid to get her released, The Six came up with a plan to frame Dean, with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) planting the murder weapon in his flat.

Since Dean’s arrest, Jade has been staying with the Slaters, and was horrified to discover that he had been tampering with her medication in a bid to prevent her from being well enough to move to Pakistan with her mum.

It didn’t take long for the police to come knocking, after Dean accused Stacey, Jean Slater and Harvey Monroe (Gillian Wright and Ross Boatman) of framing him, and soon Jade was backing up Jean’s claims about her dad’s actions.

In upcoming scenes, Jade is stunned when she receives a request from Dean asking her to visit him in prison.

The Slaters are horrified and think it is a terrible idea, and soon Stacey, with Jean’s backing, tries to convince her not to go.

However, when Jade later talks to Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) at her leaving party, she is given some food for thought.

At the prison, Dean insists that he is innocent, and denies tampering with Jade’s medication or killing Keanu – but will he be believed?
