EastEnders’ Honey Mitchell reels as Jay Brown drops bombshell on day of London Marathon – and it’s not good news
Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) is to deal a devastating blow to Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) on the day of the London Marathon in EastEnders.
Having learnt that former sex worker Nadine Keller (Jazzy Phoenix) is pregnant with his baby, everything is thrown into disarray.
The news has come as a huge shock to Jay, following their turbulant relationship the wake of Lola Pearce’s(Danielle Harold) death last year.
Due to her similarities to his late wife, the two struck up a bond, which caused concern among his family and friends.
Learning of Nadine’s profession, Jay asked if they could have a non-sexual relationship and she allowed him to sleep beside her.
As the two grew closer, he began spending more time at her Brewery Apartment which had devastating consequences.
Noticing ketamine on her table, the two began to take the drug together which caused Jay’s behaviour to spiral and drive whilst under the influence.
At Christmas, Lola left a message asking her family to run in her memory in the upcoming London Marathon and ever since, Jay and Honey have been training.
In a real life soap twist, actors Jamie and Emma are actually going to be running the marathon themselves in support of Children in Need and Prostate Cancer UK.
They will record scenes in character that will be broadcast in Monday’s (22nd April) episode.
However – if Jay has anything to do with it – he won’t be running at all!
