General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is in hot water. But is he? He set Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini) up with a fake USB supposedly filled with information on Pikeman recently, and got “busted” by the feds, about a week later. Looks like Betty’s boss, a.k.a. Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), has been working with the feds to bring Corinthos down. But why?

GH spoilers hint that things might not be as they seem. It was interesting Cyrus knew that the feds had Sonny.

Sure, he’s still got power even though he’s on the “inside” but seeing that it was recently revealed he’s Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) boss, the very one who wanted more information about Sonny and Pikeman, fans can connect the dots.

While Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) were recently racking their brains trying to figure out who tipped the feds off about Sonny.

It’s clear that Betty took that USB to Mason, who gave it to Cyrus, who passed it on to the feds. Perhaps they bargained with Renault; get the goods on Sonny, and get released from prison early.

Mason has been desperate to get information that connects Sonny to Pikeman. It’s likely that Cyrus got a deal to be released early if he could nail Corinthos. Still, will he?

While the feds think they have evidence in the form of “boxes” could those boxes, once exposed, be filled with Corinthos Coffee and not weapons?

Cyrus tried, and Cyrus failed. There’s a reason why Sonny has managed to be Port Charles’s main mob boss and not get caught, for decades now.

This storyline will likely drag on for a week or two to keep fans on their toes, but Corinthos will not go to prison and will eventually be released when the feds realize they have no “real” evidence.
