General Hospital Spoilers: OUT with Eddie Maine, IN with Ned Quartermaine: Ned’s Memory Returns
According to General Hospital spoilers, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) has returned as his memory recovers, and Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) has left. It’s nearly time!
Rena Sofer’s character Lois Cerullo could only jog his memory long enough to recall that he had wed her and that they had been on the Brooklyn Bridge together. Eddie in his smart “monkey suit,” and Lois in her exquisite bridal gown.
Eddie found it too much to take in and hurried out of the room to get back to his music. Eddie claims he doesn’t want to think back on his history or his true identity, but we can tell that he is getting there.
“Eddie” Can’t Move Forward
Eddie has been stuck on his song, which is a metaphor for how he feels about his life, and he has been having trouble finishing it. He’s stuck in limbo, actually having no way to move forward.
There’s just so much Lois can do if Ned wants to be Eddie, despite her sincere attempts to help him recall. She’s attempting to hold back.
According to Soap Opera Digest, Ned will be engaged in an accident that will “have major implications for his future,” as revealed by GH spoilers.
Ned’s memory is about to return in “dramatic fashion.” It has been months since Ned had his accident at the Metro Court pool that turned him into Eddie Maine.
When Lois had first returned to town and started trying to jolt his senses, he seemed noticeably perturbed. He grew frustrated and didn’t want to be around her.
We had hoped that the return of Lois for “Eddie” would mean that the show would reignite the spark and fire that was Ned and Lois, the massively popular super couple from the 90s.
Ned and Lois Are “Never Ever Getting Back Together”
Alas, Rena Sofer recently reported that she would NEVER play that story again. Rena Sofer and Wallace Kurth were once married and shared a daughter, Rosabel Rosalind Kurth.
Now, the two actors have moved on. Kurth has been married to Debra Yuhasz since 2003. Sofer is also married to Sanford Bookstaver, whom she first married in 2003.
The two share a daughter, Avalon Leone Bookstaver, born in 2005. The couple divorced in 2017. They reconciled and were married a second time in 2019. Sofer and Bookstaver are still together now.
Rena believes it would be cruel to their other spouses for her and Wally to have a romantic relationship on-screen since they were once married to each other.
It serves little use for Ned to be Eddie if Eddie Maine is unable to carry on his romantic relationship with Lois. Fans of Ned and Lois will be saddened to learn that Ned is married to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).
Well, Eddie’s still Eddie, so what’s a soap opera to do? Naturally, another mishap will trigger his affection and recollections of Olivia, as well as his daughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).
What happens when Ned’s memories come back? At least he gets to reveal the truth about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). That would be GH’s second-best scenario if Ned and Lois are unable to reconcile!
