Sister Wives’ Kody Brown And Wife Robyn Reunite With Family Virtually Despite Tension As Ex Christine Hides From Screen

In the midst of intense conflict with his ex-wife Christine Brown, who has remained off-screen, SISTER Wives star Kody Brown has reconciled with his family. Christine ended her marriage to her spouse in 2021, and she recently got married again.

The family was assembled by Mykelti Brown and her husband Antonio Padron for the gender reveal of their twins during Sunday’s brand-new episode of Sister Wives. During the video conversation, Kody, 54, and Robyn Brown, his lone surviving wife, were seated next to each other. Janelle Brown lived with her kids, Meri Brown ostensibly chose not to show up, and Christine lived with Mykelti and Tony.

The mom of five popped in and out of the frame, seemingly busying herself with other things or trying to hide to avoid an awkward encounter.

The family guessed what gender the twins would be, with just about everyone chiming in.

Janelle weighed in at one point in a confessional, saying: “I think it’s great that Robyn and Kody are on this call. They are a couple. I don’t have a problem with seeing them as a couple, them participating in family stuff as a couple. It’s just what it is.”

Mykelti also shared her perspective, saying: “I was really happy that even though there’s like strife and struggle they were still like, ‘Well this is still a family. We can still try to be a family.’ Which is ultimately always what I’ve wanted.”

They revealed they were expecting two boys during the presentation by pulling two hand-held cannons that shot blue dust into the air. In a confessional, Kody said, “I’m just as excited as I would be if they were a pair of girls.”

Then he talked about the video call and acknowledged that it wasn’t simple for him: “It was a really bittersweet experience the entire time. mostly kind, but I was practically paranoid at first because of my fear of the disdain that has been directed at me.”

FAMILY FEUD

Christine isn’t the only one at odds with Kody after their split. Janelle recently had a huge falling out with her former husband on Sister Wives. During the episode the exes sat down together in Arizona to chat about their differences.

Jenelle began, saying: “I feel like I’m being gaslit.”

Kody cut her off, chiming in with: “You’re using that because I used the term.”

His ex-wife scoffed, responding with: “Oh, I came into this conversation expecting to use that term.

“‘Cause I feel like you are constantly gaslighting me.”

Kody paused before acknowledging that there’s a “problem” in the family and “everybody thinks I’m the bad guy.”

“I don’t expect to see anybody at Christmastime. I don’t expect to see you.”

Kody and Janelle are parents to Logan, 29; Hunter, 26; Gabriel, 21; Garrison, 18; and daughters Madison, 27, and Savanah, 18. The Brown family patriarch now has a strained relationship with each of those children. Kody went on to claim that Janelle doesn’t “follow the rules and doesn’t take accountability.” At that point, Janelle erupted into a fury, pointing a finger as she yelled: “Shut your f**king mouth and let me talk to your for a minute.”

“No, no, no, no,” he exclaimed, seemingly unable to handle the confrontation.

Kody got up from the sofa and began to leave.

“You keep cutting me off,” Jenelle went on.

Her ex threw his jacket and implied all of their problems were Janelle’s fault, saying: “There is only bitterness. What partnership do we have?”

“Don’t you dare point your finger at me,” Janelle hit back.

Kody began to leave the room as she grabbed his coat and demanded: “You stay and talk.”

“I’m done listening to you,” he responded.

As the fight came to an end, Janelle demanded to TLC producers: “Shut it off.”

MAKING LIGHT

For her part, Christine seems to have largely moved past the embarrassing situation involving her ex. Her admirers laughed when she joked on social media in October about splitting from Kody. Christine published a spoof movie poster on her Instagram Story that was modeled after The First Wives Club.

Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, and Goldie Hawn appeared in the 1996 original film. However, Christine and her 52-year-old co-stars Meri and Janelle took the roles of the actors in her image. The posters had the faces of all three of them superimposed on it.

The picture was also edited to say: “The Ex-Wives Club, rather than “First Wives.” Over the social media post, Christine wrote: “Oh my gosh!!! I laughed my head off when I saw this!!” Christine was the first of the three Sister Wives stars to leave the family, announcing her decision to divorce in November 2021.

She is now married to David Woolley. Janelle and Kody called it quits in December of 2022. Kody also split from Meri, leaving him with only his “favorite” wife Robyn.
