Sister Wives fans feel ‘sad’ as Robyn Brown reveals ‘proof’ there’s ‘still hope’ for Kody and Meri in shock show moment
SISTER Wives fans share their thoughts on Robyn Brown’s statement that her husband, Kody, and sister wife, Meri, can work through the flaws in their relationship.
The emotional rollercoaster between Kody, 54, and his spiritual marriages with Meri, 52, and Janelle, 54, is currently being showcased on the TLC series.
Meri has moved her clothing business, LuLaRoe, up to Utah where her bed and breakfast, Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, is located.
She revealed to Robyn in a previous episode that she will still be living close to her and Kody, but will be up at her B&B more often.
In a new sneak peek of tonight’s episode, Meri talks about where she stands with Robyn and Kody and her relationship with her best friend, Jenn Sullivan.
“I don’t allow myself to just let loose and have a lot of fun because I don’t have that trust, you know, Jenn and I have that trust with each other … I don’t have that with other members of my family,” she revealed in a confessional.
THEIR ‘DISTANT’ RELATIONSHIP
Then, Kody was interviewed and revealed that his and Meri’s relationship was “distant” and that he doesn’t see her very often.
In Robyn’s confessional, she said: “If Meri just sticks around long enough and we get through what’s going on with Christine and even Kody and Janelle figure out what they’re gonna do and he can get through all of his anger and emotions about everything, that they will have a chance to work it out.”
‘IT’S KINDA COOL’
The video then cuts to a clip of Meri and Jenn discussing their friendship and the relationship she has with Jenn’s husband.
She revealed that Jenn’s husband is “awesome” and is extremely helpful and “supportive.”
“He does things for me,” the TV personality said, “[He] washes my car and he does these little things that a guy normally would do for his wife and he does it for his wife, and by default he does it for her best friend it’s kinda cool. Don’t go weird!”
‘ALMOST PITIFUL’
The clip was shared on the official Sister Wives Facebook page and fans shared their thoughts on Meri’s relationship with Kody.
“I’m glad Meri has people in her life who value her and treat her special. That’s all she ever needed from Kody,” one wrote.
A second said: “I think that is sweet and thoughtful that Jen’s husband washed Meri’s car for her. My husband doesn’t even wash my car!”
“I hope she finds someone to make her truly happy. Its sad to see .. almost pitiful sometimes,” commented a third.
MERI’S ANNOUNCEMENT
Speculation that the two were having difficulties started as early as 2020, when Meri posted cryptic quotes on social media and ditched her wedding ring.
On January 10, 2023, Meri shared an official joint statement with Kody about their divorce saying: “After more than a decade of working on our relationship in our own unique ways, we have made the decision to permanently terminate our marriage relationship.”
The statement continued: “During this process, we are committed to kindness and respect toward each other and to all members of our family, and we are also committed to the continued healing of any and all relationships within the family so that we can move forward with forgiveness, grace, and love.”
However, in a new interview, Kody claimed that his spiritual marriage to Meri started to end years ago.
“We started a breakup seven years ago and have been going through just a process of trying to figure out what to do,” Kody told Us Weekly.
