‘ Shocking ” Sister Wives’ Janelle Brown ‘may take ex Kody back’ due to serious financial issues
Janelle, 54 broke down in tears in a recent episode of Sister Wives over money problems amid her divorce from Kody, 54.
“I’m stuck. Financially, I have nothing,” the mom of six revealed during the September 10 episode
“Christine had the house, I had nothing. My name is on the [Coyote Pass] property with everybody else, probably nobody will cooperate now and play ball.”
She added: “I can’t believe I’m 50 and I can’t even do my own thing ’cause I’m so tied up with them financially. And I can’t do anything.”
Now, a source has claimed that Janelle may take Kody back – after announcing their split less than a year ago – due to her financial issues.
“Knowing Janelle on a personal level, I see her going back to Kody,” the source told The U.S. Sun exclusively.
The source continued: “She’s not going to have money, really, until they figure out how to deal with dividing up money from the property.
“And that’s why I think she’s going to go back to Kody.
“She’s just not going to be able to really do things on her own. She’s never in her life been financially [stable].”
NO PROGRESS ON COYOTE
The patriarch and his then-wives purchased four parcels of land called Coyote Pass in Flagstaff, Arizona for $820,000 in 2018 when the family moved from Las Vegas, Nevada.
At the time, Kody planned to split the property into five parcels, so that he and his now three exes could build homes.
The U.S. Sun recently revealed Janelle and Kody still own the plot of land in their name, according to Arizona property records.
They paid off the plot of land in their name on June 2, 2023, and an additional plot in Robyn’s name that was purchased for $170,000 each.
Janelle has not sold it to her ex, unlike Kody’s ex Christine who signed over the parcel in her name to Kody and Robyn for $10 in July 2022.
According to exclusive photos taken in April of this year, construction on Coyote Pass has yet to begin.
The five-plus acre Coyote Pass land looked bleak and was covered in snow at the time the photos were taken.
DREAM HOME
A source told The U.S. Sun last month: “Kody and Robyn have no plans for building on Coyote Pass – at least not at this point.”
“There have been no talks whatsoever,” the source revealed.
“It’s very expensive and they have to come to an agreement on what their plans actually are.”
No new building permits were filed in Arizona for any of the four parcels of land, The U.S. Sun confirmed.
Janelle, Kody and his last-standing wife Robyn are the only ones left living in Flagstaff after exes Meri and Christine both moved to Utah.
In the Season 18 premiere episode, Janelle spoke about her plans to pal Christine in her current apartment and how her dream home would be where she would have her kids stay as they please.
She had a detailed property plan of the 1,200 square-foot house that was printed on a large piece of paper.
“I thought we would be so much further along in the building process, but that’s just taken a long time,” Janelle stated, referring to building on Coyote Pass.
‘YOU’RE GASLIGHTING ME’
During last Sunday’s Sister Wives episodes, Kody boasted about his sex appeal, which led to fans mocking the reality star.
The pair met at a restaurant, where they filmed an awkward scene, to hash things out.
In a confessional, Kody claimed: “So Janelle’s not in love with me. I think she thinks I’m hot. I’ve got nice pecs, and a great six-pack abs. But that’s all she’s interested in.”
Janelle spoke to the cameras next, remarking: “I’m like ‘Woah, buddy, you’re way missing the boat here.’
“There’s way more to a marriage than just physical attraction, and I feel like we’re in big danger here.”
Janelle and Kody got into a wild fight in an earlier episode that ended with her shouting at producers to shut off the cameras.
Janelle admitted to her ex: “I feel like I’m being gaslit,” which led to him firing back: “You’re using that because I used the term.”
The Plexus ambassador then replied: “Oh, I came into this conversation expecting to use that term ’cause I feel like you are constantly gaslighting me.”
The former couple’s argument blew up after Janelle got frustrated with him constantly cutting her off, and he eventually threw on his jacket to leave while scolding her: “I’m done listening to you.”
The troubled exes’ drama continues to unfold in new episodes of Sister Wives, which air on Sundays at 10pm ET on TLC.
