Update News : Eden McCoy’s GH Return Date Revealed!

Eden McCoy

Fans were startled when the role of Josslyn on GENERAL HOSPITAL was suddenly recast in the middle of December 2023, but the soap promised it was only a matter of time before Eden McCoy returned in the new year.

And it’s clear that McCoy is already back filming at the GH studio because TV Line is reporting that the actress will be back on screen in the episode airing on Thursday, Feb. 1!

When McCoy won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Performer on Dec. 15, fans cheered. But when they tuned in to GH on Monday, Dec. 18, Josslyn was suddenly being played by actress Courtney Fulk! A rep for the soap confirmed that McCoy was taking a leave of absence, but would be back in early 2024.

At the time, McCoy was mourning the death of her mother, Natasha, who passed away in November after a battle with cancer. And just days after Fulk took over the role of Josslyn on GH, McCoy took to X/Twitter to share a message with fans. “I think I’m gonna take some time off of Twitter,” she wrote, “but first needed to give thanks for all of the support within the last few weeks. Been a strange year, but I still feel very lucky. Wishing everyone reading this love and health.”

During McCoy’s time away from Port Charles, Josslyn’s storyline continued to unfold. She supported her friend, Adam, as he cracked under the pressure of his parents and rushed him to the hospital when he overdosed. Joss also supported her mother, Carly, when her mother, Bobbie, passed away. Please join us in thanking Fulk for stepping in under difficult circumstances and keeping Josslyn’s story going until McCoy was ready to return.
