Kody Brown and his co-wives didn’t raise a bunch of kids who intend to follow in their footsteps. As far as seeking wedded bliss via polygamy, it looked like no takers among the offspring.
After watching the last few seasons of this TLC series, the reason seems obvious to the fans.
It looks like Kody’s plural marriage turned into a Sister Wives failure over time. But even before the recent turmoil, most of the kids said polygamy wasn’t for them.
One of the Sister Wives’ kids toyed with the idea at an earlier age. But since then monogamy seems to be the choice for all the Brown family’s adult kids.
Now a new post has some fans thinking at least one daughter might have changed her mind.
Kody’s daughter, Gwendlyn Brown, raised a few eyebrows lately with a recent post. She shared a photo of a woman, a man, and a couple of kids.

Gwendlyn Brown Didn’t Introduce Future In-Laws
Maybe it’s because Gwen comes from a polygamous background that some fans had a different take on this. But folks chimed in wondering if she intends to join this family as a co-wife. They thought this post might suggest that she’s seeking a marriage that mirrors her Sister Wives upbringing.
She didn’t mention what role she’d have among the people in the photo. So, it sounded like she might be on her way to embracing plural marriage.
The 21-year-old daughter of Christine Brown and Kody Brown plans to marry the love of her life in July. Gwendlyn became engaged to Beatriz Queiroz after the two dated for about 8 months.
But after a quick probe on social media, it looks like this little family posted in a photo by Gwen is part of Beatriz’s family. With that said, sure Kody’s daughter will become part of this pictured family. But they will become her in-laws, this is not a Sister Wives type of marriage.
It appears the photo above shows Beatriz’s sister, her husband, and their kids. And fans agree with Gwen – they sure look like a beautiful family.
Sister Wives: Kody Taints Plural Marriage?
When this TLC show first aired, viewers didn’t know what to expect. A man with three wives, taking on a fourth wife as the series started became a curiosity if nothing else.
Some fans expected to see Kody Brown’s wives sell homemade marmalade at local airports. Or peddle flowers to the masses on street corners to help support such a large family.
So, needless to say, the Sister Wives series debunked a lot of preconceived thoughts about Kody Brown and his four brides.
But one thing seemed to bubble up early on Sister Wives. That was the topic of what Kody’s kids thought about plural marriage for themselves one day. All except for one of his children seemed very disinterested in carrying on this legacy.
But as time went by, even Leo Brown, who was the one sibling toying with the idea early on, seemed to opt for monogamy as an adult.
So, when Gwendlyn Brown introduced the family she was joining in a photo, some fans thought she might have changed her mind about plural marriage.
Some thought she might follow in Kody Brown’s footsteps. But it looks like she’s following in the footsteps of her married siblings. So, far they’ve all opted for monogamy as seen on the TLC series.
