General Hospital Recap: Tuesday, February 20 – Sonny’s Divorce Papers Stun Nina – Charlotte’s Punishment

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap Tuesday, February 20, reveals Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) got Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) to carry out a task for him while he talked to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Olivia Jerome’s (Tonja Walker) demise.

Dante explained that law enforcement suspected the same people who took out Olivia tried to take out Sonny, so he was eager to find the traitor.

Sonny acknowledged that there could be more than one before explaining that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) was a different kind of rat.

Dante heard about Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hiring Dex as a plant in Sonny’s organization to put him in prison, but he thought it should count for something that Michael changed his mind.

Dante wondered if Sonny really wanted to write off his son for trying to protect him, but Sonny felt there was no room in his life for people he couldn’t trust.

After Sonny acknowledged that Dex agreed to leave town, Dante urged Sonny to see that in dangerous times, help could come from some pretty unexpected corners.

Sonny felt there was a special place in hell reserved for those who targeted his family, so he was determined to send his mysterious enemy there.

At the Metro Court, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) met with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), who said that the DA’s office wouldn’t pursue charges against Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) if she did 1,000 hours of community service and three years of probation.

Valentin wasn’t happy about that outcome and hoped Robert wasn’t taking out his disdain for him on Charlotte.

However, Robert made it clear that his beef was with Valentin and that Charlotte’s father was the one who belonged in prison.

At the bar, Diane served Nina with divorce papers from Sonny, so they did plenty of bickering before Diane left with Robert.

It wasn’t long until Robert and Diane were commiserating in a suite, where things took a sizzling turn.

Meanwhile, Valentin found out about Nina getting served with divorce papers and acted like Sonny was an even bigger fool than he thought.

Although Valentin felt Nina was better off realizing Sonny wasn’t the man she thought he was, he eventually offered some advice if she wanted to stay married.

Sonny wanted a quick divorce, so Valentin suggested Nina shouldn’t give it to him.

At Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) house, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) provided the latest investigation updates and offered to push for Curtis to serve as a consultant.

Curtis opted to sit this one out since his priority was getting back on his feet for his family.

Although Curtis flashed back to a conversation with Sonny about Pikeman and the WSB, he chose not to share what he remembered with Jordan.

After Curtis acknowledged that Jordan made a good team with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes),

Jordan admitted their new plan was a little dicey since it required help from Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober).

At the Port Charles Grill, Anna showed up and offered Cyrus the opportunity to save lives – maybe even his own.

Cyrus was skeptical as Anna explained how she wanted him to use his Pentonville ministry to influence and persuade a particular inmate – presumably O’Neill (Jeff Leaf).

Although Cyrus balked initially, Laura showed up and pushed him to take this chance to prove that he’d changed.

Cyrus resisted at first since he didn’t see why he should exploit his ministry to save mob bosses, but he eventually came around to Laura’s way of thinking.

Once Cyrus agreed that he’d try to live up to Laura’s faith in him, he was ready to receive Anna’s instructions.

Back with Curtis, he told Portia that there was someone he needed to warn since she might be the shooter’s next target.

Curtis admitted he was talking about Selina Wu (Lydia Look) and shocked Portia with the news that they used to do business together.

That left Portia terrified, but Curtis argued that his business with Selina was over.

Even so, Portia worried about all the organized crime Curtis had been tangled up in and asked how they knew he wasn’t another name on the hitman’s list!

General Hospital spoilers say Selina will become a bigger part of the action soon, so stick with the ABC soap.
