SISTER Wives fans were shocked after learning what patriarch Kody Brown does as his secret side hustle.
Little had been known about what the 53-year-old does outside of working on reality television, but viewers caught photos of him at his “disturbing” second job.
The premiere episode of Sister Wives showed the cast of the show discussing what they did before joining.
Kody did not specifically state what he did before landing the gig, however, he implied that he was into advertising and sales.
Still, it remained unclear what he actually did for a living aside from being a TV personality on the show, until fans spotted him at his alleged side job of selling guns.
On Reddit, a user shared a post they found on Facebook that revealed Kody’s gig.
“An unexpected [Kody] sighting,” a screengrab of the post began.
It continued: “We live in Southwest Missouri…and my husband spent this past weekend in Tulsa Oklahoma at their annual gun show.
“It’s a big deal, massive, and has over 4000 tables on 11 acres.”
Along with the description of the event, the original Facebook user shared four photos of Kody working one of the booths.
The Brown family patriarch wore a black T-shirt and a pair of jeans for the large gathering.
He moved all around his table as he spoke with attendees and seemed to try to give them his best sales pitch.
In the snaps, he could be seen smiling and laughing, as well as organizing all of his gun equipment.
Sister Wives fans were shocked to discover this sales position of Kody’s and slammed him for taking it on.
One Redditer thanked the original poster for sharing the information before going on to call the side gig “disturbing.”
“He’s in his element pretending to be manly and tough,” another wrote. “I think it’s a real smile, we just don’t see that smile when he’s around his family.”
A third joked about the reality TV dad, who has almost 20 kids: “Happy around his favorite children: his firearms that earn him capital.”
Others called it a “trash job” and said it’s “scary seeing him handling guns.”
Some said this makes them “not want to support him in any way” as the gig is “shady.”
One said that they already knew about Kody’s job and was shocked most die-hard fans hadn’t known yet.
The user wrote: “I am surprised it took so long for the information that Kody sold guns came out.
“It really changed my perspective on Kody and the show when I found out somewhere around Season 3.”
