Despite their concerns, no one has connected the dots to realize that Sonny is battling with his mental health-and Sonny has been paranoid even before Valentin started his sabotage.
Even Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), who’s most experienced helping Sonny with his bipolar disorder, hasn’t fully seen the extent, although suspecting he’s been off his meds or needed a dosage adjustment.

Only family members can sign a judicial commitment-when they bring Sonny in for a meeting under false pretenses, his reaction could be explosive, feeling blindsided and betrayed.

Since Ava knows Sonny’s meds are at reduced strength but she’s keeping it a secret, it seems she’s either in on the plan or has her own reasons to control him.
Is it conceivable that he might internalize their words and actively seek help after their sincere pleas; absolutely-but Dante and Kristina would also have to confront Ava trying to block it.
These days, Ava has become quite skilled at isolating Sonny and coaxing him into embracing his darker inclinations.
If, by chance, she were to stumble upon a confidential family meeting, she might voice her opinion that Sonny doesn’t need any assistance, thereby encouraging him to reject the notion altogether. In such a situation, Ava better hope that Carly doesn’t unleash her fury upon her.
